Snowmobilers from around the Midwest came in to ride Wisconsin's good trails for a great cause. The
9th Annual SnowFest Ride-In, held February 1, was a huge success! "The turnout was awesome, the funds raised were incredible, and it appears that we might have set a new all-time fundraising high for this event," according to John Dee.
The Ride-In raised money for the Make-A-Wish foundation and started with rides around Keweenaw and ended with a banquet at the Brownstone Hall in Atlantic Mine. Funds this year went towards sending 4-year-old Brody Etelamaki of Chassell to Disney World. Etelamaki was diagnosed with a brain tumor last year. He was able to attend the event and was presented with a Yamaha 120 snowmobile from
Pat's Motorsports in Greenland, Michigan.
Ariens Company donated a
Deluxe Track 28 Snow Blower for the silent auction to support the cause. The winning bid was Kip from
Pat's Motorsports, who also donated the snowmobile to the family. Pat's is a current Ariens Dealer, and we commend them for doing a great job giving back to the community.
We want to wish Brody a great trip to Disney World thanks to the support of the community, and we want to thank John Dee for bringing a group of people together to make this happen.
