Nebraska Governor Applauds EverRide Warrior Success Story
November 16, 2004
"The governor had heard good things about our company and the EverRide product line from various economic development staff members in Lincoln, so he wanted to see what they were talking about firsthand,” according to Sales Coordinator Steve Skaggs.
Welcoming Gov. Johanns were (from right to left) company owner Donna Skaggs, Manufacturing Manager Brian Bradley and Steve Skaggs.
“Along with being impressed with our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, the governor was especially interested in the success of our national marketing effort. Exporting products from Nebraska is something he actively supports,” Skaggs explained.
“Governor Johanns has a good knowledge of lawn mowers and seemed to appreciate the various features of the Warrior, including it’s height-of-cut adjustment system and EverFlow tunnel deck construction,” Skaggs reported.
The governor also was given a tour of the EverRide assembly line by Brian Bradley.
The governor was given a brief history of the company’s growth, from its beginnings in 1926, to its growth as an original equipment manufacturer and its decision to engineer and market its own line of EverRide riding mowers.
The governor told company officials that he enjoyed hearing about their successful introduction of the Warrior and their willingness to adapt to market conditions.
Seated on a Warrior, the governor posed for a photo op with (from left to right) Company President Phil Hamilton, General Manager Brian Loynachan, Manufacturing Manager Brian Bradley, Steve Skaggs, Continuous Improvement Manager Sean Skaggs and Company Owner Donna Skaggs.
